APPLICATIONS ENGINEER


Location: Killarney, Co. Kerry

Contract Term: Permanent


Adecco are currently looking for a talented and motivated Applications or Mechanical Engineer who is interested in joining a leading flow technology solutions company based in Killarney, Co. Kerry.



This is a permanent opportunity with the company, salary could be between €50-60K with an interesting benefits package.



The main objective of the role is to work within the Filtration Team, designing suitable filtration solutions and producing technical quotations, helping Commercial teams converting them into orders. Responsible for providing internal sales and contract support for both Capital Equipment and Aftermarket to customers worldwide.



Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Receive enquiries, evaluate customer requirements. Producing timely and accurate quotations whilst understanding and maintaining company core requirements.
Size and select the correct product/equipment for the required application in accordance with international design codes and customer specifications.
Preparing 'request for quotation' documentation to enable sub vendors to quote for fabrication, instrumentation, valves, etc.
Liaising with subcontractors/suppliers located throughout the world to obtain costs for each component of the product design.
Engage relevant stakeholders for input into the project quotation.
Compilation of information, delivery schedule, risks, and costs analysis for internal management approval.
Produce detailed quotations considering technical and commercial requirements.
As appropriate, review customers terms & conditions with the Commercial and Legal Department.
Work with our Finance Department to check the credit ratings of all potential customers and sub vendors.
Give exceptional customer service at all times.
Fully support and assist (Commercially and technically) the External Sales team.
Engage in project handover to ensure the Engineering and Project Management department has sufficient information to allow it to supply the customer with the required equipment in the time specified.
Providing technical support to Regional Offices.
Implement, maintain, and improve the Company's quality system as it relates to the functional area.
Attend and contribute at meetings, reporting business opportunities and areas of responsibility.
Undertake travel internally and abroad as and when required in support of sales/technical issues.
Other duties as required.

Education and Experience

Third level Engineering qualification. Mechanical engineering is highly desirable.
Related experience in a similar role, managing projects, working with other technical people and handling technical negotiations with customers and suppliers.
