Job Title: Business Development Manager (Medtech)

Location: Galway, Ireland (Candidates should be based in Galway or nearby for regular office travel)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in office in Galway)

Travel Requirement: Must have your own car for occasional travel within Ireland (mileage expensed). International travel to the US, Europe, and the UK (around 6-8 times a year).

Job Description
As a Business Development Manager, you'll play a key role in driving growth and building lasting relationships within the Medtech sector. The focus of this role is on business development, making it ideal for someone with a 'hunter' mentality who thrives on creating new opportunities. You'll have the support of the inside sales team.

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Medtech industry, including contract manufacturers, OEMs, and CDMOs.
Strategic Coordination: Serve as the main point of contact between clients and internal teams to ensure alignment with client goals and deliver on commitments.
Business Growth: Identify and pursue new client opportunities, driving business development initiatives within the Medtech sector.
Industry Expertise: Provide clients with valuable insights into market trends, industry developments, and best practices.
Account Expansion: Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing client accounts.
Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze client account performance to ensure growth and high satisfaction rates.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Proven experience in technical sales, business development, or client services within the Medtech or a related industry.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Medtech landscape, including market dynamics and regulatory considerations.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients.
Organizational Ability: Skilled at managing multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
Travel: Own car required for local travel in Ireland, with international trips to the US, Europe, and the UK.
