Our client, a leading manufacturing technology company based in Kerry, are currently seeking a Buyer/ Planner to join their team on a 6 month contract.

The purpose of the role will be to deal with activities such as material procurement, production planning, vendor management and inventory control.

Responsibilities include;
-Working to customer requests, schedule orders in line with material availability
-Put together weekly production schedule production planning and skipping requirements
-Support materials requirements with production and engineering teams
-Act as supplier manager for the supply base and monitor supplier performance on a monthly/ quarterly basis
-Manage cost reduction projects on purchased items and supply chain lean initiatives.
-Support implementation of vendor and inventory management systems.
-Manage sourcing of raw material supply including new supplier negotiation and agreements.
-Monitor supplier performance against agreed KPI's

Requirements include;
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment
-Ability to work on own initiative
-Highly analytical with a meticulous attention to detail
-Problem solver with great prioritisation skills
-Excellent communication skills at all levels
-IIPMM Cert / Dip highly beneficial
-Experience of ERP systems
-Previous experience in a buyer/planner role within a manufacturing environment.
