This is an exciting opportunity for a Buyer/Planner to join a global manufacturing company at their Irish facility in Co. Kerry.
*Reviewing contracts for legal violations or conditions that could lead to litigation
*Negotiating prices with sellers on behalf of the company or organization
*Preparing budgets, bids, proposals, presentations, and other planning documents that help ensure projects are completed successfully
*Researching available materials and equipment, estimating costs, and developing pricing guidelines
*Estimating the time needed to complete a project based on historical data on similar projects
*Reviewing plans and providing feedback to managers, engineers, contractors, or other consultants as needed
*Working with colleagues to schedule work, inspect progress, and resolve problems throughout the manufacturing process
*Developing contracts with vendors, clients, customers, or other parties involved in a business transaction
Qualifications and skills required:
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
*Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with the capacity to quickly adapt to unforeseen work demands.
*Proactive and able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
*Good interpersonal, organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy.
*Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with people at different levels throughout an organization.
*Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize the scheduling of work.
* Education and Experience Qualified to diploma/degree level in a business or technical discipline or an appropriate combination of qualifications and work experience.
* APICS CPIM and or IIPMM Cert/Dip qualification part of fully qualified is desirable.
* Experience as a Buyer/ Planner in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience of ERP systems.
* Advanced user experience of desktop applications like MS Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Mon to Thu 8:00 - 16:30 & Fri 8:00 - 15:30
