This company requires an Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of a broad range of projects. The position would suit a motivated, practical, and adaptable individual who has the ambition to work in a progressive and innovative Engineering and Environmental Consultancy. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design of Electrical Services, from concept to completion for range of projects, in conjunction with the wider team.
The successful candidate will have:
*Level 8 degree or equivalent in electrical engineering/building services with a strong design engineering background, with 5+ years' experience.
*Working towards or Chartered Engineering status will be an advantage.
*Experience in working within client facing positions.
*Experience in the design of electrical services from concept to completion for projects within healthcare, residential, education, commercial and industrial sectors.
*Good knowledge of all electrical/building services design guidelines, building regulations and relevant BS, IS and EN Standards.
*Some knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit MEP.
*Some knowledge of Lighting Design Software, such as Dialux or Lighting Reality.
*Some knowledge of electrical engineering design software suites such as Amtech.
*Fully conversant in current Irish Regulations e.g. ET-101:2008 (National Rules for Electrical Installations).
*Must be proficient in designing electrical services including:
Lighting design
MV/LV MCC design including, SLD preparation, breaker sizing, etc.
MV/LV cable sizing
Containment sizing
Emergency lighting design to current regulations
Fire-alarm design to current regulations
Preparation of electrical designs
Checking of electrical drawings
Site work, dealing with clients/electrical contractors
Attendance at site meetings
Estimating values of both completed works and where required approximate values of any additional works
Snag list preparation (of installed works)
*Good computer skills in using standard office software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
*The ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
*Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
*A full current driver's license and own car.
