Logistics/Customs Coordinator

We are now hiring for a Logistics/Customs Coordinator on behalf of our client in Cork. This is initially a temporary role with a view to a permanent contract.

Responsibilities include:

*Preparation of export documentation, maintenance of internal records regarding export shipments, booking of transport and sending details of shipments to customers, support in relation to achieving and maintaining standards.
*Advising customers of shipping details, liaison with freight forwarders to arrange shipping in a timely manner and achieve cost effective shipments ensuring the customer is updated throughout the process.
*Liaise with other departments to ensure orders are on schedule and on time delivery.
*Execution of multi-modal freight management services (sea / air / road) for export cargo.
*Establish effective communications with client's overseas offices.
*Arranging shipments for new or one-off clients.
*Co-operate with other teams to ensure cost / revenue are processed accurately and on time.

Experience:
*You will have a working knowledge of MS Office and experience with ERP systems, SAP or similar as a major element of computer work is required in this role.
*Previous experience working in a similar role
