Responsibilities:
* Product and process concept generation, prototyping and development
* Managing a portfolio of projects as designated in support of business activities
* Training and mentoring junior engineers and other technical staff
* Interacting with other departments to ensure project schedules are maintained
* Preparation and maintenance of all relevant manufacturing specifications
* Preparation and project management of all line extensions/NPI including supporting documentation as required
* Ensure lean and continuous improvement techniques are achieved
* Providing technical support to current and new product lines
Skills & Qualifications
* Qualified to degree level in mechanical/process engineering or related discipline
* Ideally 5-10 years relevant industrial experience
* Proven track record in project management, design, development/manufacturing implementation programmes
* Knowledge of engineering theories, methods and work measurement techniques
* Ability to apply engineering methods in the definition, design, research, development, utilisation, maintenance, and cost-control to build prototypes and products and improve qualities and reduce costs of such processes and products
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as part of a dynamic team structured environment
* Ability to train and lead assigned employees
* Ability to work across multiple project development teams
