Our client is seeking a Sustainability Project Manager to join their Strategy & Sustainability team on a fixed-term basis. You will drive the delivery of key sustainability projects in the Sustainability Programme in support of achieving our Client's Strategic Goal to 'Lead the all-island electricity sector on sustainability and decarbonisation'.
The role will see you manage a range of sustainability projects, working closely with the Head of Strategy & Sustainability, and key internal stakeholders to ensure that the Sustainability Strategy is delivered.
In this role you will:
* Manage and co-ordinate the delivery of a range of projects in support of the Sustainability Strategy across the Environmental, Social and Governance pillars.
* Work with a wide range of internal stakeholders to determine project objectives and project requirements.
* Track and report on project progress against project plans.
* Prepare reports and presentations at a strategic and operational level to engage key stakeholders on the progress of the projects.
* Manage project budgets and updating forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
* Co-ordinate project resources across multi-disciplinary functions, resolve conflicts and remove blockages.
* Ensure that the governance of the project is exemplary, including risk management, stakeholder communications, project schedules and cost management.
* Identify, recommend, and lead improvement initiatives for sustainability based on gaps, opportunities, and benchmarking.
* Ensure sustainability issues and proposed solutions are highlighted appropriately to the Sustainability Programme Manager.
The successful candidate will have:
* Relevant business experience.
* Experience in managing projects, including the management of risks, change, budgets and stakeholders and with a proven track record for delivering complex change projects.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills, verbal and written; ability to take information and present it to senior stakeholders in a non-complex manner.
* Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills; ability to navigate the organisation and garner support from multiple areas to deliver initiatives.
* Extensive decision making and an ability to prioritise conflicting deliverables.
* Strong analytical skills and rigorous attention to detail.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritise under pressure of deadlines, while working independently; knows when and how to escalate appropriately.
